6 - 4: Darcy, Archie & Banjo

A young family rush to the clinic with their Chihuahua, called Darcy, after she's hit by a car. For 18-year-old TaJournÚe, who is autistic, Darcy is a lifeline. Using pins, nuts and bolts, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick must reconstruct the broken pieces of Darcy's crushed pelvis. Banjo, a much-loved seven-year-old spaniel is brought in with problems with his hips. But while performing replacement surgery, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick finds himself in a tricky situation. And springer spaniel Archie, a sniffer dog at Winchester Prison, is lame in both elbows.
