Miracle Babies (2014): Season 1, Episode 2

The show follows the story of Matthew, a baby born 17 weeks premature, who is now in a critical condition. Matthew's underdeveloped body means he isn't getting enough oxygen and he has also got a heart condition and is showing no sign of improvement. The doctors and Matthew's mother have to make a difficult decision. The show also looks at the neonatal eye clinic as babies struggle with retinopathy and prematurity. A pair of twins with a congenital heart defect are also featured, both will need open heart surgery but are too small to undergo the operation.
