5 - 4: The One Where Phoebe Hates PBS

Joey is hired as a phone operator for a PBS telethon. Phoebe hates PBS due to the bad experiences she suffered as a child and brands it a selfishness telethon mesquerading as a good dead. When Joey tells her there is no such thing as a selfless good deed, she sets out to prove him wrong. Meanwhile, Monica tells Rachel she is dating a guy from her resturant to cover up her affair with Chandler. Chandler is delighted when Rachel tells him that Monica's new lover is the best sex she's ever had and cannot resist gloating, which lands in him in Monica's bad books. Elsewhere, Ross finally makes contact with Emily, who asks him to move to London. He is torn as he doesn't want to leave his son Ben. But he also doesn't want to have two failed marriages. Whatever he decides, the consequences will be dire.
