8 - 37: Damascus 500

Four smiths hit the fast track in a race to make a damascus blade with the highest layer count. And the stakes could not be higher--the winner will get extra time in round two, and the loser with the lowest layer count will get eliminated. The two smiths who reach the finish line, and survive an intense round of testing, will push the pedal to the metal in one final round where they will return home to recreate the Mesopotamian Sickle Sword. The smiths will then return for one last lap in the testing arena, where only one will win the grand prize of $10,000 and the title of Forged in Fire Champion.
