The Boy Next Door is a 2015 psychological thriller film that stars Jennifer Lopez as Claire Peterson, Ryan Guzman as Noah Sandborn, Kristin Chenoweth, John Corbett, Adam Hicks as Tommy, Lexi Atkins as Allie, Ian Nelson as Kevin Peterson, Hill Harper as the Headmaster, Bailey Chase and Travis Schuldt. The movie centers with Claire, a high school teacher who became involved in a twisted situation involving the obsession of a young neighbor after a one-night affair. Things get complicated when she decided to end the relationship abruptly. This film was based on a true crime that happened in the 70s involving a teacher in her early 30s who had an illicit affair with a 19-year old teen boy who lived not too far away from her. The Boy Next Door was directed by Rob Cohen, director of the films: Alex Cross, The Fast and the Furious, XXX, and Stealth.
