Plot

A sci-fi thriller film that stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. It centers with Medical engineer Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) as she goes to her first Space Shuttle mission accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney), who is commanding his final expedition. Her first mission goes into disaster when a debris from a satellite crashes into their space shuttle Explorer during their spacewalk. The shuttle is mostly destroyed and made Kowalsky and Stone to be stranded in space with limited air. They were left with no communication to earth and spiraling out into the blackness in space leaving them in silence and seems no chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space is for them to cooperate. The film was directed and produced by Alfonso Cuarón (the director, screenwriter, producer of A Little Princess (1995), Y Tu Mamá También (2001), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) and Children of Men (2006)).
